Lesson 3 of 4

Building The Deck – What The Angel Investors Want

The goal of your pitch deck is to attract investors so that they will want to invest in your company. However, you cannot go out and sell your idea to investors - the Capitol needs to be able to find you. You need to get networked in there at a high status and make sure that they hear what you're saying. The deck should frame control and be able to excite them so that they want more information. You should have one version of your pitch deck and send the deck to the investors once they are interested in what you have to offer.

Angel investors are looking for something different than a return on their money. They want to feel like they are contributing, and they want access to deals. If you're talking to an angel investor about a return on their investment, you're not understanding what they're looking for. Instead, focus on how your company can help them achieve what they want.
